The Lake Charles Sail & Power Squadron conducts free Vessel Safety inspection as a service to our community. Our inspectors will examine your boat for compliance with U.S. Coast Guard and State of Louisiana regulations. During these voluntary vessel examinations you will be advised of the laws which apply to your boat. If you boat meets the USCG standards, you will be awarded a decal like the one shown above. If your boat does not meet the standards, you will be advised of the requirements which will bring your boat to the USCG standards and arrangements will be made for a re-inspection. We do not advise any law enforcement agency of any problems discovered.
